Organizational leaders who seek to quell such upheaval must acknowledge that their organizations are human systems consisting of many interrelated parts, and that each person's actions affect the attitudes and behavior of others. Offering a human-systems approach to organizational transformation, Change at Work shows how organizations can respond to change with intelligence and compassion. The authors present a unique, comprehensive model for instituting, managing, and assessing change - the Total Transformation Management Process (TTMP). Drawing on many proven theories and models, as well as the authors' fifty years of collective experience with organizations and the change process, the TTMP optimizes an organization's capacity to allow for the exchange of human energy; minimizes constraints created by structure, processes, policies, and technology; and fosters openness and communication both within itself and with other systems in its environment.
